Refine your results

You can filter your results using the left-hand menu Refine results:

Activating the button Include results without full-text access will expand your search beyond Bocconi Library collections. Please, note that you will get results that are not owned by the Library and may not be available in full-text.

You can also change the sorting of the results by:

  • Relevance
  • Date-newest
  • Date-oldest
  • Title
  • Author

Availability

In this section of Refine your results, you can filter records for Availability:

Choose:

  • Available online to get only online resources;
  • Peer-reviewed Journals to get only peer-reviewed papers;
  • Open Access to find only resources available in open access;
  • Available in the library to find only print materials.

Resource type

You can also filter your results by Resource type, for example books, articles, journals and so on:

Date

Use the filter Date to set a date range:

Subject

Using the filter Subject will show results that contain the selected subject in their record. This feature also allows you to browse among resources on similar topics.

Refining results by subject is also useful when using keywords that could be relevant for different disciplines. For example: keyword precision medicine can get you results linked to AI or Biological and Medical Sciences.

Author

You can also refine results by Author:

Location

If you limit your search to print materials, you may also want to refine the records by Location:

Our books and periodicals can be stored in:

  • Law collection, Reading rooms, Periodical rooms: items located here are accessible to all the Library users and can be borrowed using the Self-check machines. For more information, visit the page Borrow, renew and return books on the Library website;
  • Main storage and Offsite storage: these are closed stacks, that means that items located here should be requested.
