Course Reserves (Textbooks)

Submit purchase and license requests

Instructors can ask the Library to purchase licenses for relevant course materials, such as case studies and other resource types, by manually adding a citation to their reading list and applying the tag "To Purchase".

To manually add a citation, click "Add" from your course reading list homepage and choose "Manual entry" from the drop-down menu:

A new window will open on the right, where you should fill in the required fields with the following information:

  • In the first tab, enter the Resource type and Title, then click "Next"
  • In the second tab, enter as much information as possible to speed up the purchasing processes, then click "Next"
  • In the last tab, choose "To Purchase" from the "Tag" drop-down section and click "Add" to confirm

After clicking on "Add", a pop up window will open and you will be required to provide the following information:

  • Number of students, which determines the expense of purchasing user licenses
  • Needed by dd/MM/yy, namely the deadline by which materials must be accessible to students, to help the Library process requests according to priority

Select both options and click "OK" to confirm.

The citation will be so added to the reading list and the Library can now start processing your request.
